Sunday Breakfast

(Sponsored by: CFA Societies Canada)

CFA Societies Canada, and their societies' over 22,000 practitioner members across the country is happy to support the advancement of academic research in finance, and appreciates the opportunity to support this annual meeting here in Calgary.

CFA Societies Canada and its global credentialing body, CFA Institute, focus on four key areas: developing rigorously trained and credentialed investment professionals as CFA charterholders, elevating professional and ethical standards in finance, supporting fair and efficient markets, and fostering connections among practitioners, academics, and students. They are committed to growing the interface between advancing academic research in finance and practitioners exploring practical applications.

CFA Societies Canada sees this audience as crucial partners, and offers several opportunities for collaboration:

  1. Those responsible for degree programs or specialties should explore the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, which aligns program content with CFA Program's curriculum areas and provides resources and scholarships. For more information, please stop by our booth to collect information and arrange for a follow-up call.
  2. Academics working on papers with practitioner implications—such as asset pricing, portfolio construction, climate or sustainability, AI in investment processes, or market design—are encouraged to discuss publishing opportunities through the CFA Institute’s Research & Policy Centre, Research Foundation, and Financial Analysts Journal, as well as outreach opportunities like practitioner summaries, guest seminars, society events, or joint briefings.
  3. Educators or student advisors are invited to engage with CFA Societies Canada for career-relevant programming, mentorship, and industry connections for their students.

Everyone is encouraged to visit the CFA Societies Canada booth for more information or to schedule a meeting after the conference.

Please enjoy the breakfast and the rest of the sessions and presentations.
